SAP IBP sneak preview of 2402 release is out, lets see some of the interesting functionalities which will probably be released –
1) New Simplified Key Figure Calculation: Add Time Dimension – it will now be possible to add time dimension to key figures which are time-independent, this feature will be very useful to display time-independent data in form of key figures. Previously this was possible too but required complex key figure calculation and attribute transformations, with the new standard function the configuration will become simpler and easier
2) New Application Job Template: Adapt Planning Objects – another cool feature in Model configuration is a new application job to automatically adapt planning object data whenever there is a change to non-root attributes within a planning level
3) Redesigned Master Data Workbook – this is one of our top pick, there are several noticeable improvements ex – you can now define the sequence of columns in MD workbook for a particular master data type, previously consultants has to use VB code to achieve the same. Its also now possible to define workbook specific filters in similar way how you apply filters to planning views
4) Side-by-Side Comparison of Worksheets in the Same Workbook – another simple but powerful feature to enable side by side comparison of data between different worksheets, the best feature is that data will be automatically refreshed when you switch from one to another
5) Real-Time Data Transfer in Outbound Integration – until now RTI has its limitations in the sense that the outbound data integration was still batch based and a job had to be run every time for sending data to target system. From now onwards it will be possible to have real time outbound transfer from SAP7F.
